7 Must Have Kitchen Essentials
In this post, I’ve compiled some of my favorite Kitchen Essentials. There are so many I love, but I narrowed it down to 7 of my favorites. Everything from mixers to scrub brushes to kitchen towels, this list includes some of my favorite kitchen essentials.
1) KitchenAid Mixer
The KitchenAid Artisan Tilt-Head Mixer is a true kitchen classic and one of my most treasured appliances. This was a gift from my parents 22 years ago, and it still performs exactly as it did on day one. Yes, it’s heavy and requires some effort to move around the kitchen, but that solid construction is precisely what makes it so reliable and long-lasting.
2) Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
This incredible Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven by Le Creuset was passed down to me from my grandmother, who used it for decades before. It still performs the same way I remember when she would use it, which speaks volumes about the exceptional quality, durability, and timelessness that Le Creuset is known for.
If you’re looking to start your “buy it for life” journey, this Dutch oven is an exceptional kitchen staple that you’ll treasure forever and likely pass down to the next generation.
3) The Vitamix Blender
Our Vitamix blender has been a kitchen powerhouse for the past 13 years, and it’s become our absolute go-to wedding gift for friends and family. We use our Vitamix blender for blending smoothies, making soups, mixing salsas, hummus and so much more. Check out their recipe page, full of ideas on what you can make with this incredible blender.
4) Moccamaster Coffee Maker
The Moccamaster is, hands down, my favorite coffee maker of all time. It was gifted to me years ago, and I’ve never looked back. Thoughtfully engineered and beautifully made, this machine consistently brews an exceptional cup of coffee—day after day (and often, twice a day).
Read more about the history and details that went into building this machine, it is fascinating.
5) Alexander Home Salt and Pepper Grinder

These copper salt and pepper grinders are hands-down one of my most complimented kitchen essentials. I never expected to get so many questions about a salt and pepper set—but people notice them, and for good reason.
The minimalist design is classic and the quality of the grind is unmatched. Made from solid materials, they not only look beautiful on the counter but also function exceptionally well.
Crafted by Alexander Home, these mills are authentic, hand-crafted Greek originals. Known for their precision grinding and timeless appeal. They combine traditional Greek craftsmanship with modern functionality. Each piece is built to last, making them a perfect addition for anyone who appreciates quality in everyday tools.
6) Kitchen Towels

Having absorbent and durable kitchen towels is essential for every kitchen. There are many options available on the market today, but one of our favorites is the William Sonoma Kitchen Towels (pictured below). We have an assortment of these. Everything from their Williams Sonoma Classic Stripe Towels, to the Super Absorbent Waffle Weave Multi-Pack Towels, or the Flour Sack Towels. These are some go-to Kitchen Towels that will last for years if taken care of and washed well.
7) Kitchen Scrub Brush

Having a well-made kitchen scrub brush can be a game-changer for a busy kitchen. We love our Lodge scrub brush (pictured below), but there are many well-made brushes available to try out. I’ve been wanting to try the Redecker Dish Brush, which is great for cleaning pots and pans.
Final Thoughts on Kitchen Essentials
These seven kitchen essentials have truly stood the test of time in my kitchen, and I hope they inspire you to invest in quality, functional kitchen tools that will serve you well for years to come. What I love most about each of these items is that they’re not just functional; they’re built to last.
Whether you’re just starting to build your kitchen or looking to upgrade a few key pieces, remember that investing in quality essentials like these will pay dividends in both performance and longevity. Your future self (and your family) will thank you for choosing tools that are designed to be used and loved for decades.
